Terms of Service

1. Introduction and Acceptance
Welcome to MindMeld. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MindMeld platform, including any associated websites, applications, APIs, and services (collectively, the "Service"). MindMeld is a service of Pareidolia LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
2.1 What MindMeld Does
MindMeld provides engineering standards injection for AI-assisted software development. The Service delivers curated coding standards, patterns, and best practices to your local development environment at the start of each AI coding session.
2.2 What MindMeld Does Not Do
Your code never leaves your machine.
- MindMeld does not access, transmit, store, or process your source code
- MindMeld does not execute code on your behalf
- MindMeld does not have access to your repositories, files, or development environment beyond the standards injection interface
- All AI-assisted coding occurs locally through your chosen AI coding tool (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Windsurf)
3. Service Tiers
MindMeld offers the following service tiers:

Pricing is per user, per month. We reserve the right to modify pricing with thirty (30) days' notice to existing subscribers.
4. Contribution Program
4.1 Overview
Team and Professional tier subscribers may elect to participate in the Contribution Program. Contributing subscribers receive a $50/user/month credit in exchange for allowing their anonymized patterns and learnings to be incorporated into MindMeld's community standards library.
4.2 License Grant for Contributions
By participating in the Contribution Program, you grant Pareidolia LLC a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute your contributed patterns as part of the MindMeld community standards library.
4.3 Anonymization
All contributions are anonymized before inclusion in the community standards pool. Anonymization includes removal of: company names, proprietary identifiers, personal information, specific project names, and any other information that could reasonably identify the contributor.
4.4 What Constitutes a Contribution
Contributions consist of metadata and patterns only, including:
- Pattern names and descriptions (e.g., "cursor-based pagination")
- Invariant rules (e.g., "never use offset pagination for large datasets")
- Standard enable/disable selections (Professional tier)
- Hardening signals (Provisional → Solidified → Reinforced transitions)
Contributions never include actual source code, implementation details, or proprietary algorithms.
4.5 Opting Out
You may opt out of the Contribution Program at any time by upgrading to the non-contributing tier price. Previously contributed patterns that have been incorporated into community standards will remain in the library.
5. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written authorization
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Your Code
You retain all rights to your source code. MindMeld claims no ownership interest in code you write, whether or not that code was created with assistance from standards provided by the Service.
6.2 MindMeld Standards
The standards, patterns, and content provided through the Service are licensed, not sold. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the standards during your active subscription period.
6.3 Community Standards
Community standards derived from the Contribution Program are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
6.4 Enterprise Custom Standards
For Enterprise tier subscribers who develop custom standards with our assistance, ownership of those custom standards belongs to the subscriber unless otherwise specified in a separate agreement.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITH NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT (A) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; (B) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (C) THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE; (D) THE QUALITY OF ANY STANDARDS, PATTERNS, INFORMATION, OR OTHER MATERIAL OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS; OR (E) ANY ERRORS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED.
THE STANDARDS AND PATTERNS PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE ARE INFORMATIONAL GUIDANCE ONLY AND ARE NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL JUDGMENT. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR EVALUATING THE FITNESS, ACCURACY, AND APPROPRIATENESS OF ANY STANDARD FOR YOUR PARTICULAR USE CASE. USE OF ANY STANDARD OR PATTERN IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, OBTAINED BY YOU FROM PAREIDOLIA LLC OR THROUGH THE SERVICE SHALL CREATE ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PAREIDOLIA LLC, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH DAMAGES WERE FORESEEABLE AND WHETHER OR NOT PAREIDOLIA LLC WAS ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU TO PAREIDOLIA LLC IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100 USD).
THE LIMITATIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL APPLY TO ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, STATUTE, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR OTHERWISE, AND WHETHER OR NOT PAREIDOLIA LLC HAS BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF ANY SUCH DAMAGE.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR CERTAIN TYPES OF DAMAGES. ACCORDINGLY, SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, THE LIABILITY OF PAREIDOLIA LLC SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pareidolia LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
11. Termination
11.1 By You
You may terminate your subscription at any time through your account settings. Termination will be effective at the end of your current billing period.
11.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. For terminations not related to Terms violations, we will provide thirty (30) days' notice.
11.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination: (a) your right to access the Service ends immediately; (b) you retain all rights to code you created while subscribed; (c) contributions made to the community standards pool remain in the pool.
12. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes at least thirty (30) days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any dispute shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation for thirty (30) days. If unresolved, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association.
YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
